The 270 error can occur when using the Windows NT Operating System. It appears when a Web page is requested from the Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). The error appears on the Web browser. It is caused by an IIS application. The application calls a COM object. This object changes the thread type and exits without resetting it. When the IIS service tries to use the thread again it checks the thread. If the change was done by the COM object improperly the thread is labeled as incorrect and this causes the error.
