Error Description

The Error 3170 indicates that an ISAM driver is usually an ODBC SQL-driver and this driver is employed by MS Access for the updating of other file formats. The locations of the ISAM drivers are kept in the Windows registry and the DLL file for an installable ISAM file could not be found. If the ISAM driver path in the Windows Registry is not acceptable or when the ISAM driver is not found this error might appear. This error was also reported when an upgrade from MS Access 97 to Access 2000 was performed when running on Windows 2000. It does not occur in Windows XP.
